Hope Café Report 2017

Hope Café takes place on a Tuesday morning between 10am-12noon.

Hope Café offers a safe and friendly environment for people to come with friends, make new friends and socialise with different people from the church and community.

We can have up to 40 people coming to Hope Café which is fantastic. Due to another group closing elsewhere, we now have seen quite a few of the older generation coming along to chat. This is great and means all generations are represented and interact with each other.

Barista style coffees, hot chocolates and speciality teas are served all at a very reasonable £1 each – and drinks and biscuits for the children are provided for free. There is also a soft play mat and plenty of toys and activities put out for the children.

Hope Café is centred around conversations and relationships and allows people to experience the love of God in a more relaxed and informal way than structured church. Volunteers from the Mothers’ Union come along and are a great asset on a Tuesday morning – often engaging in conversations, playing with children, offering support, serving coffee and washing up!
