Children’s Church Report 2017

We have had another fantastic year in Children’s Church. We are very lucky to have a core group of children who attend regularly and we are in the fortunate position of being able to see their understanding of their faith develop and grow over time.

We cover a wide range of subjects, often following the readings of a particular Sunday. Clare, Amanda, and John take the under 9’s group every Sunday, except the last of the month, for an informal craft and fun session including a story from the Bible and a prayer. We also to make up little plays and performances, especially with the puppets, which the children really enjoy performing for the congregation at the end of service.

Our children have shown their creative and artistic sides with their many wonderful creations, and take great pleasure in displaying their handiworks to the congregation at the end of the service. We all really enjoy getting messy with glue, glitter, paint, and anything sparkly! We see how our young children learn so much through expressing themselves in a creative way, and we all have a lot of fun!

We always need extra people to help with the crafts, so if you are interesting in becoming part of the team your help would be greatly appreciated, just speak to one of us to find out more.

We hope you have enjoyed seeing what the children have been doing this year and look forward to showing you what we will come up with next.
