Children’s Church at St. Gabriel’s

While we can’t meet with you all at the moment,
we will still be putting games and activities on here for you.

Today is Mothering Sunday,
a day when we thank God for the love of our mothers,
and we thank them in person for their care for us.

There are lots of ways on these websites to show your mum that you care.

Make sure today to let your mum
know how much you love her!

Every Sunday, apart from the last one of the month, our 4-9 year olds take part in our Children’s Church; an informal craft and fun session where our younger children can learn about and explore God and Christianity in a relaxed way.

We cover a wide range of subjects, often following the readings of a particular Sunday. We have also worked on some extra studies about Saints Days, and wider subjects in the religious calendar. Sometimes we make up little plays, performances and prayers, which the children really enjoy performing for the congregation at the end of service.

Our children have shown their artistic sides with their many wonderful craft creations, and take great pleasure in displaying their handiworks to the congregation at the end of the service. We all especially like to get messy with glue and glitter, and to make sure that Arthur shares in the mess too!

Our young children learn so much through expressing themselves in a creative way, and we all have a lot of fun!

With Jesus, the ordinary can be made extraordinary!
